Binutils-2.12 mentions;
"Configuring for a hppa1.1-hp-hpux11.00 host.
*** This configuration is not supported in the following subdirectories:
ld
(Any other directories should still work fine.)"
I'm looking specifically for a linker to support shared libraries
exceeding the 14-bit H/P internal address limit (16MB). Am I in error
reading this message as "Binutils 2.12 doesn't have a linker for HP/ux
11.0; use H/P's"? Any references will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

That is correct. GNU ld does not support the SOM format.
