Can you give more detail (host, target, as message) ?
This test passes on my SLES 10 x86-64 machine.

Ok, this testsuite fix should go in the branch as well.
Can a maintainer approve this ?

Tristan.

I think as a release manager you can do that yourself. There is also
this rule:

    --------- Branch Checkins ---------

If a patch is approved for check in to the mainline sources, it can
also be checked into the current release branch.

Ah thanks. The rule is clear enough.

Tristan.

It's your call. There is a shorter version of the patch here:

   http://sourceware.org/ml/binutils/2008-09/msg00138.html

which Jan feels would be more appropriate for the 2.19 branch (because
it causes less disruption to the testsuite harness I assume). Or you
could apply the full version of the patch from here:

   http://sourceware.org/ml/binutils/2008-09/msg00145.html

Please consider either version approved for inclusion into the branch
and pick the one you most prefer.

Cheers
   Nick

Ok, I committed the full version.

I did build cvs 20081003 taken from the branch for both Debian and Ubuntu, there are regressions on
mips/mipsel, compared to the 2.18 branch.
