I am pleased to announce binutils 2.21.1.
This is a bug-fix release containing fixes for regressions and serious bugs
in binutils 2.21. This release is available from the FTP servers listed at:

thanks for the release, however the same thing did happen as with 2.20.1 [1].
the version identifies itself as 2.21.1.20110627, not as 2.21.1. would it be
possible to have a release candidate, or some check within the release process
to avoid this for forthcoming point releases?

This time, I have created set RELEASE before creating the tarball. Investigating...

Im my tarball images, RELEASE is set to y in bfd/Makefile.{am,in}.
