Subject: [PATCH 0.0/4 v2] GAS symbol/label annotation
Date: Fri, 29 Oct 2010 14:36:00 -0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <alpine.DEB.1.10.1010290945190.25860@tp.orcam.me.uk> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <alpine.DEB.1.10.1007240320070.29495@tp.orcam.me.uk>

Hi,

While testing microMIPS changes I have noticed several problems with
microMIPS symbols/labels related to symbol annotation, the special "dot"
symbol and relaxation. As some of these problems apply to MIPS16 or
generic code I have split these changes off and I am submitting them
separately. The corresponding microMIPS changes will be included with the
actual microMIPS patch. All these problems are covered by the
"branch-self" testcase included with the last patch in this series.

This is the second revision of all the changes originally submitted in
July, taking your concerns as well any issues I have meanwhile discovered
myself into account. As originally, I will be commenting on each patch
separately with the corresponding submission.

All these changes have passed regression testing on mips-sde-elf and
mips-linux-gnu targets, as well as -- because of the generic nature of
some of these changes -- on an arbitrarily chosen limited selection of
i686-elf, m68k-elf and powerpc-linux-gnu targets.

  Maciej
