Subject: Quick note on Bunsen branches
Date: Fri, 16 Sep 2022 13:11:28 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <45767b3f-fbf9-4f3d-8894-79ed980557ed@www.fastmail.com> (raw)
The Bunsen code in branch 'master' is the code that runs on https://builder.sourceware.org/testruns/ and that Frank will be presenting at GNU Cauldron 2022 on Sunday. This is also the code you should be using if you want to use/experiment/improve Bunsen going forward.
The Bunsen prototype code in branch 'prototype/2022' is the code that I used for Bunsen demos in prior years. It's currently only used by myself and Martin Cermak on the non-public Bunsen setup for SystemTap testing. We plan to migrate to the newer code base fairly soon. The branch will be retained for historical interest; any good ideas in the prototype (such as the experimental regression-filtering analyses) will eventually be stolen and incorporated into the master branch.
There will now be some Bugzilla noise emails as I update various old Bugzilla PRs to be relevant to the 'master' branch.
All the best,
Serhei
