The upstream bzip2 developers don't control the project on
sourceforge. It would be nice if it at least pointed to the upstream
home page https://sourceware.org/bzip2/ and mirrored the updated git
repository at https://sourceware.org/git/bzip2.git
The releases hosted on sourceforge are older releases. The official
releases can be found at ftp://sourceware.org/pub/bzip2/ or
https://sourceware.org/pub/bzip2/
