: One of shebs' pet peeves: it's "deprecated", not "depreciated". :-)

Interesting, why is this ?

According to Webster's Dictionary:

  deprecate:
    1. to feel and express disapproval of; plead against
    2. to deprecate; belittle

  depreciate:
    1. to reduce in value or price
    2. to make seem less important; belittle; disparage

Neither actually means "to make redundant" or in the past participle
"to have been made redundant", although that is the usage intended
here, and one which is feel is consistent with the modern usage of
"depreciated".

Cheers
	Nick
