I have no objection to changing this, except to note that the extra verbosity comes from a rule that predates modern software distribution models (where releases are immediate and continuous), and is also not deemed necessary by many other organizations. I would not voluntarily go along with this rule, but wouldn't stop others for whom rule following is next to godliness. - FChE
