If you set an optimisation level in the crosstool-NG configuration, it will only be used internally, for example to build libstdc++ or libgcc_s. There is no way to tell gcc what optimisation level to default to. So, you have to specify the required optimisation level everytime you call to gcc. Regards, Yann E.
