Does anyone have resources on how to build gcc on cygwin using cygwin as
a host, and x86-linux as a target?

I have already checked http://www.objsw.com/CrossGCC/ , section 4.7 (the
"mailto:" for subscribing to the list may be out of date, is there a
newer way to subscribe to this mailing list?), and
http://www.xraylith.wisc.edu/~khan/software/gnu-win32/cygwin-to-linux-cross-howto.txt ,
but haven't gotten past compile-time errors when building gcc (binutils
seems fine).

Thanks for any info!,
John Faith

Have a look at David Fiddes coldfire site ( http://fiddes.net/coldfire/ ). He has
instructions there for building a cross version of GCC for coldfire under cygwin. If you
look back through the archives of this group you will see some scripts that others have
written to create a 68K version of GCC.
