Hi David,
your log suggests that the C compiler is having issues with
- running
- checking it's version
- compiling hello world (actually compiling "return 0")
- producing executables
so that is why reinstalling C fixed the configuration problem. You had
no working compiler to begin with.

sorry, i resolved it by reinstall cpp-4.7.
but doesn't why i need to do it.
