Hello,
I'm using version 1.18.0 under Centos 5.5 (32bit).
I'm aware this is a very old version.
The toolchain created (gcc 4.3.2) is used for an old system developed since
~2010.
I cannot change its toolchain
Now I'm required to compile cryptsetup and for this purpose I need uuid
provided inside linux-util
Can you please advise what linux-util version I should use ?
I tried linux-util 2.26 and installed it into the tree of the toolchain
created with 1.18.0
But as I run ./configure for cryptsetup I got:
checking for uuid/uuid.h .. no
configure: error: You need the uuid library
Thank you,
Zvi Vered

I'm confused - how exactly is this a crosstool-NG issue?

You are absolutely right.
Lack of experience.
Best regards,
Zvika
