I'm having a go at using crosstools to build the Linux kernel from
MacOS. ...
One small addition to crosstool-howto: the filesystem you build on
apparently should be case-sensitive. At least, Nikolaus Schauller's
build.sh complains if it's case-insensitive. One way to achieve this
is to build and mount a .dmg filesystem. You can do so from
Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility.
