Subject: Updated: setup.exe (Release 2.872)
Date: Mon, 12 Oct 2015 21:17:00 -0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1444684638.3808.23.camel@cygwin.com> (raw)
A new version of Setup, release 2.872, has been uploaded to
https://cygwin.com/setup-x86.exe (32 bit version)
https://cygwin.com/setup-x86_64.exe (64 bit version)
Changes compared to 2.871:
* New -i/--ini-basename option to choose a different basename for setup.
* New -I/--include-source option to automatically download and install
source packages corresponding to any selected binary packages.
* New -Y/--prune-install option to revert an existing installation to
match a fresh install.
* setup.ini can now be compressed as setup.xz (setup.bz2 remains
supported).
* Fix for package filenames which include colons (such as
xorg-x11-fonts-*)
* More input buffer optimizations
Please send bug reports, as usual, to the public mailing list cygwin AT
cygwin DOT com.
