Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) files may contain a preview to be used by programs that can't interpret the PostScript code. epstool can create, extract, and edit preview images in EPS files. epstool can also fix bounding boxes or calculate an optimal bounding box for an EPS file. epstool is written by Russell Lang, and is licensed under the GPL. More information is available at http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/gsview/epstool.htm UPDATE ====== To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system. Save it and run setup, answer the questions and pick up 'epstool' from the 'Graphics' category. Then click on the 'skip' field next to 'epstool' until '3.07-1' is displayed.
