Subject: Updated: ssmtp-2.62-2
Date: Tue, 21 Apr 2009 05:32:00 -0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20090421023555.6F2963E588@heartbeat1.messagingengine.com> (raw)

ssmtp is an extremely simple sendmail replacement, which forwards
messages to a mailhub (e.g., your ISP's outgoing mail server), and
does nothing else.

This is a bugfix release, and an update to the latest debian source
and patchlevel (2.62-3, 2009-01-31). This release is compiled with
SSL/TLS support, provided by openssl.

Use the included ssmtp-config script to configure the service; see
/usr/share/doc/Cygwin/ssmtp-2.62.README and 'man ssmtp.conf' for more
information. Note that the ssmtp-config script will /not/ automatically
configure SSL/TLS support -- you must do that manually.

[[ compiled using gcc-3.4.4-999 ]]

This will most likely be the final ssmtp update for the cygwin-1.5
distribution; future development will continue with ssmtp-2.62-10
for cygwin-1.7.
