Message-ID: <480A566A.2060100@cwilson.fastmail.fm> (raw)
ssmtp is an extremely simple sendmail replacement, which forwards
messages to a mailhub (e.g., your ISP's outgoing mail server), and does
nothing else.
This is a bugfix release, and an update to the latest debian source and
patchlevel (2.62-1, 2008-03-07). This release is compiled with SSL/TLS
support, provided by openssl.
Use the included ssmtp-config script to configure the service; see
/usr/share/doc/Cygwin/ssmtp-2.62.README and 'man ssmtp.conf' for more
information. Note that the ssmtp-config script will /not/ automatically
configure SSL/TLS support -- you must do that manually.
Changes since 2.61-1
-----------------------
o routine update to upstream source
o ensure /etc/ssmtp exists (report by Dmitry Semyonov)
o fixed uninitialized buffer issue in ssmtp.c(from_format)
(reported by Pierre A. Humblett)
