Message-ID: <4903FCA1.3060103@cwilson.fastmail.fm> (raw)
Automake is a tool for automatically generating `Makefile.in' files
compliant with the GNU Coding Standards. This package contains the
latest version of the automake system in the automake-1.7.x series,
automake-1.7.9.
This cygwin package, automake1.7, can be installed without conflict
alongside the existing automake1.10, automake1.9, automake1.8,
automake1.6, automake1.5, and automake1.4 cygwin packages.
This release is a packaging update of the automake1.7 package. This
will most likely be the final automake1.7 update for the cygwin-1.5
distribution; future development will continue with automake1.7-1.7.9-10
for cygwin-1.7.
Changes (automake1.7-1.7.9-3 ---> automake1.7-1.7.9-4)
* Update packaging to use stock cygport-0.4.0
* Fix setup.hint
* Import fixes from gentoo so that tests pass, when
this version of automake is used with autoconf-2.6x
or with newer versions of gettext.
* Ensure distcheck passes when using libtool-2.2 and
the LT_OUTPUT macro appears in configure.ac.
* Ensure /usr/share/aclocal directory is preserved
* Also added info file to alternatives set (as is done in
automake1.9 and automake1.10 already)

FAIL: subobj9.test -- fails when run as non-Administrator,
succeeds when run as Administrator. Due to 'cp -p' not able to preserve
ownership without Administrator privileges.
