Message-ID: <87tu1smu7l.fsf@Rainer.invalid> (raw)

The following packages have been uploaded to the Cygwin distribution:

 xz-5.4.0-0.1
 liblzma5-5.4.0-0.1
 liblzma-devel-5.4.0-0.1

 mingw64-i686-xz-5.4.0-0.1
 mingw64-x86_64-xz-5.4.0-0.1

XZ Utils is free general-purpose data compression software with high
compression ratio. XZ Utils are the successor to LZMA Utils.

This is an update to the latest upstream release.

Cygwin Notes
============

This relase is intended for general testing on Cygwin.

Maintainers, please test with packages and builds that use liblzma5 (the
library has new entry points, but stays ABI compatible with earlier 5.x
releases) and liblzma-devel. Due to the extra entry points in liblzma5,
applications may not be compatible with earlier versions, so please
ensure that you don't release packages linked against it while it is
still in test.

The first general (non-test) Cygwin release from this branch is planned
to be 5.4.1, depending on the results of these tests.
