The h5py package is a Pythonic interface to the HDF5 binary data format. It lets you store huge amounts of numerical data, and easily manipulate that data from NumPy. For example, you can slice into multi-terabyte datasets stored on disk, as if they were real NumPy arrays. Thousands of datasets can be stored in a single file, categorized and tagged however you want. This version of python-h5py has been built with the latest version of HDF5 (1.8.15-1) and includes the following changes: HDF5 for Python (h5py) 2.0 represents the first major refactoring of the h5= py codebase since the project=E2=80=99s launch in 2008. Many of the most impor= tant changes are behind the scenes, and include changes to the way h5py interacts with the HDF5 library and Python. These changes have substantially improved h5py=E2=80=99s stability, and make it possible to use more modern versions = of HDF5 without compatibility concerns. It is now also possible to use h5py with Python 3. For a complete list of changes, please see http://docs.h5py.org/en/latest/whatsnew/2.0.html. This version was built without parallel I/O support and does not use MPI. Cython is a build requirement, which is available on Cygwinports. *** CYGWIN-ANNOUNCE UNSUBSCRIBE INFO *** If you want to unsubscribe from the cygwin-announce mailing list, look at the "List-Unsubscribe: " tag in the email header of this message.
