It is inspired by programs such as gnome-multi-term, quadkonsole, etc. in that the main focus is arranging terminals in grids (tabs is the most common default method, which Terminator also supports). Notes: An older version of this package is in Cygwin Ports. I would also like to point out that this is a useful tool for administering several SSH servers simultaneously; You can type into multiple terminal windows simultaneously using terminator.
