could you please update the gvim package to vim7, too?

Since gvim expects the global configuration files from the vim package,
people will have a broken gvim configuration when updating vim.

Thanks,

Hmm, I see that gvim is quite a popular package. :-) The problem is
that I'm too many steps ahead of the distribution right now:

1) I'm running a snapshot Cygwin environment,
2) I'm using the modular X11 client libraries,
3) I have gtk+ 2.8 installed.

In the case of gvim, I don't think that 2) or 3) should matter all that
much; the problem is with 1). That said, I already have these packages
built:

ftp://sunsite.dk/projects/cygwinports/release/gvim/gvim-7.0.017-1-src.tar.bz2
ftp://sunsite.dk/projects/cygwinports/release/gvim/gvim-7.0.017-1.tar.bz2

If someone could verify that the run with 1.5.19-4 and gtk2-2.6, by all
means, please upload. If not, then someone still running the stock
distro could build them from these files in Cygwin Ports CVS:

http://cygwin-ports.cvs.sourceforge.net/cygwin-ports/ports/apps/vim/

Either way, I'll look at 7.0.035 soon.

You know that you just have to close all Cygwin processes, rename the
Cygwin DLLs and then you can test running apps under the older DLL,
don't you?

I'm obviously running snapshots, too. It's quite easy. Build gvim,
replace the Cygwin DLL and see what error dialog "symbol foo could
not be found in cygwin1.dll" it comes up with. For the non-GUI vim
it's just sigset(). I managed that by manually disabling HAVE_SIGSET
in src/auto/config.h. Well... I *forgot* to do that for 7.0.035-1,
that's why there's 7.0.035-2, but it's still easy.

Now that 1.5.20 is out, could you please release gvim 7?
