Well, it'd give you a clean slate to start from and the transformation to the old-style setup.ini files would be an easy post-processing step that'd be independent of the main work of calm (either a text transformation or a second output pipeline). But I understand you've made up your mind, so I'll stop trying to come up with a concrete format proposal for a new-style setup.ini, at least at this time.
