... banging on and on about how awful the kids are these days and how they're
all violent thugs who wear hoodies and carry knives and how it makes them too
scared to walk down the street when they see a bunch of teenagers hanging out
in a big group, I'm going to tell them ...

"No, kids haven't suddenly become violent and dangerous over the past few
years, it's just that you are a craven yellow-bellied spineless gutless

A full-scale rescue operation was launched after seven college students on a
night-time orienteering trek became worried by a herd of cows.

Emergency services were called out on Monday night after the teenagers became
stuck on a hill near Swanage, Dorset.

They contacted the centre when they came across the field of cows and
coastguard, police and ambulance crews were sent to the scene, a Hertfordshire
County Council spokeswoman said.

"They got to the field and realised they needed to be on the other side of it
and did not want to go through it," she explained.

None of the girls were injured but one teenager who complained of feeling cold

Anyone not familiar with rural English accents might not understand why they
called out the coastguard to some people in the middle of a field on dry land,
but in a rather broad Hertfordshire accent, "coastguard" /would/ be pronounced
somewhat like "cowstgaard" ....
