I actually got EIEIO on a GNU/Hurd system the other day. I believe it was
via rename("dir/..","other") during one of my syscall stress tests - the
call is supposed to fail with EINVAL, but Hurd didn't reject it, and ended
up deadlocking the file system, and ended up requiring a reboot. But I
couldn't help but laugh at the strerror output - "computer bought the
farm". I had to go check /usr/include/errno.h to verify that there really
was such an errno value. And wikipedia even has a segment on it:
