Changes
=======

1) bin - /etc/profile.d/00xfree.*sh - Prepend /usr/X11R6/bin to the PATH
instead of appending it. This should ensure that the correct binary is
called when there are dual binaries placed in /bin and in /usr/X11R6/bin
(the former without X support, the latter with X support). (Harold L
Hunt II)

2) bin - /etc/profile.d/00xfree.*sh - Reformat the scripts, add
comments, make both scripts check if PATH is empty or not and act
accordingly. (Harold L Hunt II)

3) bin-icons - Postinstall and preremove scripts - Set path explicitly.
  (Reported by: Igor Pechtchanski)

4) f100,fcyr,fenc,fnts,fscl - Postinstall script - Set PATH explicitly.
  (Reported by: Igor Pechtchanski)

5) lib - Postinstall script - Set PATH explicitly. (Reported by: Igor
Pechtchanski)

6) lib - General - Add dependency on 'tar', since tar is used in the
postinstall script. (Reported by: Igor Pechtchanski)

7) man - /etc/profile.d/XFree86-man.*sh - Reformat the scripts, add
comments, make both scripts check if MANPATH is empty or not and act
accordingly. (Harold L Hunt II)

8) prog - Postinstall script - Set path explicitly. (Reported by: Igor
Pechtchanski)

9) prog - /etc/profile.d/XFree86-prog.*sh - Reformat the scripts, add
comments, make both scripts check if PKG_CONFIG_PATH is empty or not and
act accordingly. (Harold L Hunt II)

10) xserv - Postinstall script - Set path explicitly. (Reported by:
Igor Pechtchanski)

To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on
the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your
system. Once you've downloaded setup.exe, run it and select "XFree86"
and then click on the appropriate field until the above announced
version number appears if it is not displayed already.

If your mirror doesn't yet have the latest version of this package after
24 hours, you can either continue to wait for that site to be updated or
you can try to find another mirror.

Please send questions or comments to the Cygwin/X mailing list at:

If you want to subscribe go to:

I would appreciate if you would use this mailing list rather than
emailing me directly. This includes ideas and comments about the setup
utility or Cygwin/X in general.

If you want to make a point or ask a question the Cygwin/X mailing
list is the appropriate place.
