From: Jon TURNEY <jon.turney@dronecode.org.uk> To: cygwin-xfree-announce@cygwin.com Subject: Updated: xorg-server-1.11.4-1 Date: Mon, 30 Jan 2012 16:55:00 -0000 [thread overview] Message-ID: <4F26CA59.8050000@dronecode.org.uk> (raw) The following packages have been updated in the Cygwin distribution: *** xorg-server-1.11.4-1 *** xorg-server-dmx-1.11.4-1 These packages contain XWin and the other X.Org X11 servers. IMPORTANT NOTE: This release changes the default settings so that the -resize and -wgl options are turned on by default. If that causes issues, please let us know, and either revert to the previous version, or turn off those features using the -noresize and -nowgl options. (See [2] for help on how to do that) In addition to upstream fixes [1], this contains the following cygwin-specific changes since 1.11.4-1: * Enable RANDR resize (option -resize) by default * Enable AIGLX (option -wgl) by default * Ignore bogus WM_DISPLAYCHANGE messages that have 0 bpp (Thanks to Colin Harrison for patch) * Avoid WIN_WINDOW_PROP races which could cause a crash during Windows window destruction (Reported by Rodrigo Medina) * Restore modifier key state when an X window gains focus (Thanks to Oliver Schmidt for patch) * RANDR resize didn't occur, in windowed mode, with option -resize, when the window was maximized or restored. (Thanks to Colin Harrison for patch) * Fix rrScreenSetSize function pointer mismatch (Thanks to Ryan Pavlik for patch) * Add Windows 8 to the list of Windows versions we know the name of aec6d0bf84b96a4586dc5e8dc77ffe2f *xorg-server-1.11.4-1.tar.bz2 21423d8221c934e25c1aa5e1a0bddc2d *xorg-server-dmx-1.11.4-1.tar.bz2 6bd74a8c9677daf1f9087c54e78751f6 *xorg-server-1.11.4-1-src.tar.bz2 [1] http://lists.x.org/archives/xorg-announce/2012-January/001805.html [2] http://x.cygwin.com/docs/faq/cygwin-x-faq.html#q-command-line-args -- Jon TURNEY Volunteer Cygwin/X X Server maintainer
