At this stage, this package will only be of interest to people who are willing to test it and report problems and bugs, and ideally write patches to fix those issues. It needs more work to be truly useful. Some of the more obvious issues: * xlaunch does not report it's version number anywhere * The htmlhelp is not complete. In particular, some GUI options are not documented * It needs to play nicely with Xming and VcXsrv versions of itself: (i) it should not fight over who owns .xlaunch files, (ii) it should ignore attributes in the .xlaunch XML it doesn't understand * It should base the list of local Xsessions it displays on what is actually installed, rather than a fixed list * It should support the -displayfd option to dynamically allocate display numbers * The ability to add extra options to the ssh command line (e.g. -C) might be useful * The window title should mention xlaunch, otherwise it could be hard to identify the xlaunch window on the taskbar or when alt-tabbing * It should maintain history lists of remote hosts and commands run in a dot file. * When it is useful to do so, the Cygwin/X User Guide documentation needs to be updated to mention xlaunch The source is available from git://people.freedesktop.org/~jturney/xlaunch cbccdf05329edb9590af66dad8ff7f36 *xlaunch-20120316-1.tar.bz2 0ad1d006c8d29e8100d5dc419f42bbc6 *xlaunch-20120316-1-src.tar.bz2
