Hi.

I can't make a freshly installed cygwin X-server start.
sh /usr/X11R6/bin/startwin.sh
yields that cygXft-2.dll cannot be found.
It is not installed anywhere and I cannot find any package that contains it.

libXft is the package.

A search through the "Setup Package Search" link at cygwin.com would 
have told you this:

http://cygwin.com/cgi-bin2/package-grep.cgi?grep=cygXft-2.dll
