hi there,

If u r still looking for an FTP library i suggest u take a look at libwww
which u can download from http://www.w3.org . It has implementations of the
HTTP,FTP,Gopher and News Protocol's and supports many platforms. I
personally feel that libwww replaces WinInet (some MS trash) so just take a
look and i think u can build it under MSVC or Cygwin (at least the last time
i visited the site it had some refernce to cygwin).

Regards

Nirmal Prasad R.

Vincent,

While the origin of this code of mine is years and many miles behind me,
and it's currently a little biased to Win32 existance, you're welcome to
do with it what you will. Check it out here:

ftp://ftp.tertius.com/socklib.zip

Cheers,
-Ted

Vincent,

Take a look at ftplib-3.1. It is a source code library with support
for linux, unix, vms, and windows. It is simple to port. You can
find the sources on any Linux archive.

Enjoy,
Bill

Hello

Does anyone know of a simple FTP library out there for C/C++? It seems
reasonable to assume someone in the unix comunity has written such a
thing. It could be something simple like the way it is done in Java

I don't know if you consider this simple, but I've been using a
package called FTP4W by Philippe Jounin (ph.jounin@computer.org) but I
don't recall where I got it from. It might be a little lower level than
you're looking for, but it has worked well for me.
