Subject: problem with setup download and install for cygwin
Date: Fri, 21 Apr 2000 16:55:00 -0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <011201bfabed$2a02f920$148e6dcb@chaosad> (raw)
downloaded the setup program from
ftp.mirror.aarnet.edu.au (http address to view the cygwin latest
http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/cygwin/latest/ )
then started it.
it downloaded to the blank folder I started it in.
then it started creating lots of files named like
s3vulla9.1 created over 60 files like this then terminated.
see below for some of the errors.
are you guys going to make a self extracting exe file(like you used to have)
or a zip file of everything
that would be a hell of a lot easy than what you have now.
have been try to install for the last few hours.
I don't want to do a manual install as haven't got the time.
How you had the installation was good why did you have to change it?
