Using Cygwin 32-bit or 64-bit? I have to ask because I could not
reproduce your problem here, on the 64-bit version.

Builds and runs fine, here.
And what version of things do you have, anyway? If you had followed the
advice at https://cygwin.com/problems.html, we would already know that...
