Hallo Corinna,

[da ich schon einmal vergeblich versuchte
ein großes "Dankeschön" miitels cygwin.com
zu übermitteln, nehme ich jetzt einmal
dein Posting zum Anlaß es direkt bei dir
zu tun.]

Also vielen Dank für die große Leistung die
ihr erbringt um UNIX Tools und Konzepte in 
die Windows Welt einzuführen. Ihr habt 
wirklich Großes geleistet ...

...was mir spätestens klar wurde, als ich den 
"ipc-daemon" installierte und damit ausnahmslos 
alle meine alten UNIX Programme (Reliant UNIX) 
unter NT zum laufen brachte, obwohl es in dem 
C-Code nur so von nativen UNIX API Calls wimmelt.
Sourceänderungen waren kaum von Nöten, außer 
Fehlerkorrekturen, die der alte UNIX Compiler 
wohl "übersah" incl. einer wirklichen Dummheit 
in makefiles.

Alles in allem habe ich getestet:

-semaphores (klassische non-posix API)
-shared memory
-message queues
-anonymous pipes
-named pipes
-tcp-ip sockets
-signals

Sogar "ipcs" nebst "ipcrm", ..., gibt es,
und sogar einen Activstate perl wrapper:

Ihr habt wirklich nichts vergessen - große

If you changed them to your own special needs, yes. Otherwise,
if you can live happily with the default settings (which are
now slightly loosen related to the old settings)  then you can
simply install and call `/bin/ssh-host-config' afterwards.

Hi Corinna,

Is it really necessary to save the /etc/ssh_config and /etc/sshd_config
files?
If so, should they be saved and then put back into /etc?
