I removed the bogus address from the list.

Also, I thought I'd let everyone know that our mail server has been
replaced with a brand new machine.  (Hopefully the turn-around time
for messages to the gnu-win32 list has been improved as a result).

It appears that strip modifies the section attributes of sections it
doesn't understand, rather than leaving them as they were. This can
results in sections losing their read/write access. I guess this is
similar to the problem ld has whereby it gives all sections it doesn't
explicitly understand no acces at all.
