Hello,
I have tried adding an /etc/hosts file to be able to ping/telnet/ssh by
name to remote hosts, but it doesn't seem to resolve the hostname to the IP.
Any ideas?
Here's my setup:

Hi,
I think the OS that actually handles this, so you need to create a
DOS-text %WINDIR%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file. If you have
Cygwin apps that actually look in /etc/hosts, you might try a symlink
from /etc/hosts to %WINDIR%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.
