Is it possible that you mean the dummy device which is unfortunately
called `Loopback Adapter' by Microsoft? Don't look for `lo' which
is just a fake, giving the same results as `lo' on a Linux box.
You will probably find your dummy device as one of the `ethX' devices
in the list given by ioctl(SIOCGIFCONF).
