Don't start the X server from mintty or open more than one
Mintty windows.

My solution on USB disk is a link in the Cygwin root dir
with "Target"

   E:\cygwin64\bin\run.exe --quote /usr/bin/bash.exe -l -c "cd; exec
/usr/bin/startxwin"

and with "Start in"

   E:\cygwin64\bin

Regards
Marco
