Several people have reported this fairly serious error in either make or gcc before.
It occurs while making dependencies for a file with a LOT of includes.
Could Cygnus please correct this problem in Beta 19?

The heap has been split, CYGWIN can't fork this process.
Increase the heap_chunk_size in the registry and try again.
