cygwin installation problems

cygwin installation problems

hello cygwin users

during installation of cygwin there is the following error.
the installation hangs at 97% by the file
/usr/X11R6/doc/Cygwin/xorg-x11-fscl-6.8.1.0.Readme.
I have installed the X11R6 packages in a second step and then
it works.
Can have this a influence of the functionality of cygwin?

Cygwin Installation Problems

I am having a problem with the latest cygwin installation.  I use the
setup.exe program to download files from the Internet to a local directory
and then use setup to install from a local directory.  (I do this to use the
higher bandwidth available at my workplace to obtain the files, and then
install them on my home computer where only a 56K baud line is available).
During the final step of the installation process, a message to the effect
that cygintl-1.dll is missing pops up, and attempts to use cat,ls, vi
etcetera within the resulting cygwin fail.  Apparently cygintl-2.dll is
installed in the cygwin root bin directory, but not cygintl-1.dll.  
What needs to be done for a proper installation ?

Hmm...  Did you click on the "Install Cygwin Now" icon at
http://cygwin.com or did you just download the pieces you thought you
needed?

If the first try the setup process again.
If the second try the setup process.

compilation problems....

when compiling anything 'ld' returns unable to find -luser32

Thats straight after a cygwin installation...

What I want to do is install cygwin then install the rtems cygwin =
powerpc binaries and cross compile for powerpc ?

Where should the files actually go for the rtems prebuilt binaries ?
