No windows I'm sorry, but I don't understand the relationship between the XP virtual machines (running 32-bit Cygwin?) and the 64-bit Cygwin X server running on a Windows 7 machine. Please give a detailed, step-by-step recipe for producing the problem. And please attach cygcheck output as requested here: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Also, since you say this was working until your last Cygwin update, maybe you could check /var/log/setup.log and/or /var/log/setup.log.full to see which packages got updated. By reverting to previous versions one at a time, you should be able to figure out which update broke things for you. Finally, if you decide that this is related to the recent X-server updates (and you're sure you have the latest version installed), you'd be better off asking for help on the cygwin-xfree list.
