Subject: Inetd problem on NT
Date: Tue, 22 Aug 2000 14:40:00 -0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <7009EDD9FFA0D111A03400A0C91F3D2E011F02FF@goliath.unidata.com> (raw)
Hi there,
After installing inetd package (by setup.exe) on my NT box. I ran "ftp
localhost". All I
got is the following:
$ ftp localhost
Connected to ntcalvc.ardentsoftware.com.
421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection
ftp>
I don't know what else is needed in order to let inetd functions. This is a
fresh installation -
meaning no old version of inetd running on my PC. Here is the output of
"mount" command:
$ mount
Device Directory Type Flags
c:\cygwin\bin /usr/bin system binmode
c:\cygwin\lib /usr/lib system binmode
c:\cygwin / system binmode
Do you guys have any ideas? Thanks.
Regards,
-Junwu Cao
