Subject: How to compile vim so that the server feature works?
Date: Fri, 22 Jan 2016 23:34:00 -0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <CA+0ahmY14EurL_woe3z5f8n7h6wgMhZQtC_Vrhf3rZ23SqoY+Q@mail.gmail.com> (raw)
I want to run vim in servermode.
I need the +clientserver feature for this to work, so I have to
compile vim myself.
I have done this but servermode does not work.
this is what I have done
$ ./configure --with-x --with-features=huge --enable-luainterp
--with-luajit --enable-pythoninterp --enable-python3interp clean
$ make && make install
$ where vim
C:\cygwin64\usr\local\bin\vim.exe
C:\cygwin64\bin\vim.exe
$ which vim
/usr/local/bin/vim
$ vim --version

Unknown option argument: "--servername"
More info with: "vim -h"

$ vim --serverlist

What do I need to do to get that feature working in cygwin?
