"Top-posting" is posting your entire reply at the top of the message you are replying to rather than placing your reply into logical placement in the conversation thread. "Top-posting" disrupts the logical reading pattern, and to see what you are replying to, readers have to scroll down below your reply and guess which pieces you are replying to.
