Subject: setup 2.917 fails trying to update to cygwin-3.3.4-2
Date: Tue, 8 Feb 2022 08:45:13 -0700 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <CAFWoy7EJXGvm+AbtTRiuPLJbgptwqrZzGmn2QqbCLRPC_gekjw@mail.gmail.com> (raw)
Windows 10 Pro, 10.0.19042 N/A Build 19042
Cygwin Setup 2.9.17
Trying to update to cygwin 3.3.4-2.
I routinely download updates with setup, then re-run setup and choose
"install from local directory," which has always worked.
I don't think the two step procedure is at fault, though.
Setup abruptly exits, no re-basing or anything.
uname -a shows "CYGWIN_NT-10.0 (host info omitted) 3.3.3(0.341/5/3)
2021-12-03 16:35 x86_64 Cygwin"
The 3.3.4-2 update exists on the system:
https%3a%2f%2fcygwin.mirror.constant.com%2f/x86_64/release/cygwin/cygwin-3.3.4-2.tar.xz
Next steps to troubleshoot this are appreciated.
