FWIW, here's cygcheck's output showing I used the latest snapshot. Attached too is the raw ps output. Maybe the full listing of ps and the output positions of PID 4712 could give you clues. But in any case, I've read cgf's reply and we don't want cygwin slower. I can live with listings containing duplicate PIDs :) Thank you! George -- George M.
