My recollection was that it would allow us to see the Windows version and/or OS build number, for example: Version 1809 OS build 17763.379 When will uname actually be updated to take advantage of this? I regularly used three different Windows 10 machines and each is a slightly different "vintage". The version of uame I have (latest) is dated 2-Feb-2017. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
