Thanks for your message. Actually my source files are in the CAML language(a
functional language), the compiler does not supprt
building libaries. I was wondering other ways to get around the limit
of 128 chars.

Hmm, sounds like a question for the CAML list, if one exists. Does CAML
support an include preprocessor statement similar to the "#include <header.h>"
in C? If it does, would it be possible to have one file include the other
files?

Cheers,

Use ar to create a library and use the library in the gcc line.

For a description of ar `info binutils' will give you the documentation. If
you get an error about a missing dir file then see the FAQ.

Hi, I have a problem in transplant my solaris project to
cygwin. The problem is that the length of commands are
too long, especially for linking object files. The content
after the 128th character is ignored. My guess is that
Win95 environment has such limit, but I have no clue to solve it.
Could someone give a hint? Thanks a lot.

Yong
