Dylan,

> ' is missing '='ax error in //my-server/cvsroot/CVSROOT/config: line '

The above is due config being in text mode. Convert it to binary mode
and the warning will go away. IMO, this has nothing to do with 1.3.12,
etc.

Dylan,

Please keep your replies on-list.

I've had this "problem" with 1.3.10 or earlier. In my case, the *real*
problem is that some developers are accessing the CVS repository with a
Windows CVS client via :local: access and I use :ext: (i.e., ssh). This
causes config to become a text mode file...

sorry about that.. hit the wrong key when replying.

My cvs repository is a std win2k shared directory on a small local network.
I wonder why its being mounted differently now than before... mm.. strange.

I don't know why this error (below) has suddenly started occuring but could
someone please tell me how to convert a windows network drive into binary
mode automatically?

I currently access the drive as simply "//my-server/CVSROOT", and I have my
source checked out via this directory. Did the behaviour for this type of
mount change since 1.3.10?

* spurious CVS error msg when using latest 1.3.12 + Exp packages

Hi there, with the latest versions of everything I get this strange error
when running CVS. It doesn't *seem* to have any adverse effects (CVS keeps
going) but it is an odd error to say the least.

' is missing '='ax error in //my-server/cvsroot/CVSROOT/config: line '

I've looked at CVSROOT/config and it is simply the standard distributed
config file that got installed when I created the repository. It is all
commented out.

Anybody else seeing this message? Is it something to do with the network
mount?

Regards
