When copying non-ASCII text from another window to XTerm(348), it will be shown as a combination of ASCII and control characters, not the original human readable representation. I usually use Japanese text, =E3=81=93=E3=82=8C=E3=81=AF=E6=97=A5=E6=9C=AC= =E8=AA=9E=E3=81=A7=E3=81=99 for example. AFAICT, only the copy and paste is bad; `less' shows Japanese text and `ls' shows Japanese file names correctly. Is there a way to fix this problem? $ locale LANG=3DC LC_CTYPE=3D"ja_JP.UTF-8" LC_NUMERIC=3D"C" LC_TIME=3D"C" LC_COLLATE=3D"C" LC_MONETARY=3D"C" LC_MESSAGES=3D"C" LC_ALL=3D Thanks.
