Subject: [Bug find-debuginfo.sh/27776] New: symlinks in directory build path might break debugedit base/dest replacement
Date: Sat, 24 Apr 2021 19:02:42 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-27776-13298@http.sourceware.org/bugzilla/> (raw)
https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=27776
Bug ID: 27776
Summary: symlinks in directory build path might break debugedit
base/dest replacement
Product: debugedit
Version: unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: find-debuginfo.sh
Assignee: unassigned at sourceware dot org
Reporter: mark at klomp dot org
CC: debugedit at sourceware dot org
Target Milestone: ---
This was reported against Fedora:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1948615
The DWARF (comp_dir attribute) contains the realpath of the working directory.
Which means we also should resolve any symlinks in the RPM_ROOT_DIR before
passing it onto debugedit,
